Join our team as we design and build one of the finest theatre programs in Orange County. The Corona del Mar theatre program has a long and rich history beginning in 1964 with our first production "The Curious Savage" directed by Barbara Van Holt. The program has had its up and downs but what has always remain constant is the support of the community. Six years ago the Corona del Mar Theatre Boosters were organized and within the first year were instrumental in obtaining a state of the art wireless mic system and CdM's first automated lights. The organization has continued their support with the purchase of costumes, tools and additional sound and lighting equipment, The Boosters organize the annual theatre trip to New York City and are sponsors of the CdM chapter of the International Thespian Society and Comedy Sportz High School League team.
CdM Theatre Arts continues to grow with the opening of the Loats Theatre in January of '10, and the construction of the CdM theatre, to be completed in 2011. Plans are underway to bring the theatre well into the 21st century with the addition of computers to link all areas together and provide our actors and crew with the latest in theatre technology.
Here are some ways that you can become involved. Volunteer as a Booster to help at the concessions stand, cataloguing over 1000 costumes, helping with fundraising activities, spreading the word about our spectacular productions, keeping the district focused on building the proper theatre complex and bring new ideas to the table.
